If you are looking for some catchy tunes and a good time to start your weekend off right, look no further than The High Watt this Friday night. Cause A Scene is bringing you another night full of exceptional talent and music at what is fast becoming one of our favorite venues. Headlining the evening is band that has a lot of history with Cause A Scene. Dinner and a Suit are a Nashville-based pop rock-band that just so happened to play the first ever CAS bill back in early 2012, so we mean it when we say we are thrilled to welcome them back to the CAS stage. Guitarists, vocalists and cousins Jonathan Capeci and Joey Beretta began writing music together in New Jersey in 2008, laying the framework for what would quickly become Dinner and a Suit. With the addition of bassist and friend Anthony Genca, the band recorded their first album Light And Lungs later that year. In the years since the band has relocated to Nashville and one full-length album and two EPs later the band has developed a devout fan base and carved a name for themselves in the music world, earning multiple mentions from MTV and mtvU. Following the release of their most recent EP, Too Late, Dinner and a Suit is currently touring, making several stops across the greater US.
Joining Dinner and a Suit at The High Watt is another band who calls Music City home, Oaklynn. Comprised of two sets of brothers, Josh and Seth Smith, and Tripp and Tate Howell, this indie-pop outfit was formed in early 2010. In the time since, the bands has been writing and recording their first record. Self-titled, their five track EP was released earlier this year.
Also on the bill this Friday comes to us from far across the Atlantic in North London. Wild Sun are an eclectic, indie quartet who capture a unique sound, harnessing tropical themes that are propelled by catchy guitar riffs and tight rhythms. The band released their EP, Favor, earlier this year. Topping off the evening’s lineup is the local band, Lanco.
So come hang with all of your CAS pals down at The High Watt this Friday, for what is sure to be a night full of great sounds. Get your tickets here for $10. Doors open at 8:00 PM and the show starts at 9:00 PM.
