CAS July 16 - Wild Child

This Tuesday evening, Cause A Scene is proud to bring you a night full of music and new and old friends. We are extremely excited to welcome Autsin, TX based indie folk group, Wild Child back to Nashville. They played an incredible set earlier in the summer at CAS show at The High Watt, and we can’t wait to present them in a more intimate setting. Wild Child’s much anticipated sophomore album, The Runaround, due out this fall comes on the heels of their immensely well received debut album, Pillow Talk, which released in 2011. Also on the bill for the evening is the folk pop quintet, The Birchtree Band. Spanning from Mississippi to the Atlantic, this band met here at Vanderbilt in 2010, and have been making music together ever since. Over the past several years The Birchtree Band released their debut EP, Up to the River, and toured much of the Southeast, playing with the likes of Love & Theft, Mockingbird Sun and Mac McAnally. They have also spent a great deal of time working on material for their first full-length album.

Rounding out the night’s set are dear friends of Cause A Scene. We have been admirers of the Birmingham, AL  ambient folk trio, War Jacket for some time now and have been most anxious to get them on a CAS bill. Well, that day has finally come and we cannot wait to hear them play alongside these two other great acts. Fresh off the spring release of their EP, The Spring Hollow Sessions, War Jacket is sure to make one hell of a CAS debut.

Don’t miss out on what is sure to be an evening of incredible talent at 5008 Longstreet Drive. Doors open at 7:30 PM and music starts at 8:00 PM. Get your tickets here for $7 in advance to make sure you don’t miss out! Tickets will be $10 DOS.
